Just another fangirl...

Well first day of con is over, I'm back at the hostel and exhausted.

This will just be a quick one because of timed internet, updating in full will come later. Long story short, boys are fab, Danneel is all kinds of nice, I may or may not have been talking to her for about 2 mins before I even realised who she was... lol. I love Misha a hundred times more than I did, not that I didn't like him, just I was a bit blase Awesome atmosphere everyone was super nice and friendly.

If I had to criticise one thing from the organisers it would be the question taking. The staff were running all over the auditorium to hand over the mic, would have had time for many more questions if people just lined up like they do at other cons. From the fan side of things... why, why, why, do people continue to ask obvious slash questions!! I get that a lot of people like to allude, but one girl today at Misha's panel, for the second question of the day started talking about a fanfic where Castiel's vessels was still in love with Dean, and did Misha think that would be true. Thankfully it was just kind of brushed over but I was still pulling my collar from the awkward. (PS Really really sorry if this was you! I'm not trying to point fingers or be mean! Its just that I am comfortable in our little fandom shell and I get anxiety issues when people blatantly bring it up to the boys, even if the scriptwriters throw it right back at us!)

I spent so much money that I almost feel bad... but really that was nothing, the organisers auctioned t-shits that the boys drew on on stage, Jared's went for $1200, Jensen's $4000. It was insane for both auctions there were two people battling it out and the bids just kept climbing! But good on them both!

My photos are not going to be great because I was up in the nosebleeds of the auditorium and my camera doesn't have great zoom. But got lots of sneaky illegal footage and purchased the official video of the weekend, all of which I will post when I get back to Brisvegas.

Well that's it for me for now, looking forward to tomorrow and the J2 panel (there wasn't a combined one today) I'll try to get on again before I leave for home but if not looking forward to updating then!

Also can't wait to see everyone else's posts about the con! Yay!!

YAY!!! In t-minus 3 hours I will be on a plane to Sydney and the AHBL convention.

Ok, so I have never really understood how people could slash their friends and other people that they actually know... I do now.

I slash two of my new flatmates, and I am not at all ashamed. I can't not. They are so domestic. They are so domestic together. They snuggle when they watch movies. They even have a specific string of nonsensical little sounds that they greet each other with.

I feel I am justified. Even if they do both have live-in girlfriends...

I swore I wasn't going to do this again after the first time, and I wouldn't have except that my favorite hatchery sites are down. I'm sorry for the spam. I may be slightly addicted to these... they're pixels wtf?!

It was a very satisfying episode all around!

Uni news, last assignment and semester quiz finished today, finals don't start for another 3 weeks, and I'm giving myself this weekend off, with no plans other than sleeping in, and reading lots and lots of fanfiction! So I need satisfying good long reads, any suggestions would be great, I have a list a mile long of to-read's but I don't know what to get to first, I think I might start with Fetter's and then <lj user="rei_c">'s new long one. Any others?

So I have also started budgeting money so that I can go to the Aussie Con next year, I figured that I have to take this chance to go, It will likely be the only Australian Con during the SPN years and therefore my only chance to go. Aussies that are considering going, there should be a Comm where we can discuss and make plans... hint hint nudge nudge. Still haven't decided whether to get a VIP ticket or not though, they are $800 compared to the $150 regular day passes (+ photo ops, autographs etc.).

Also again to any previous con-going flist members, have the cons you have attended in the past stipulated that no filming is to take place during the guests talks? because the signup form has that rule on it. If that is normal, how strictly is that enforced? Because for almost every SPN con that I have heard about in the last 2 years there has been footage up on blogs... *is confused*

So I have some dragons... well eggs more precisely, Don't really know what to do with them. I think I have to get clicks : /

In Uni news, had a Virology exam today, worth 30% not sure how I feel about it, some of the questions were those ones that you breeze over the info because you're sure its not going to be in the paper, then they are and the answer is right on the tip of you tongue... wait wait I know it it starts with P.... oh well *blah*. Only two assignments left to write then I can take a week off before I have to start digging in for finals! How exciting!

Semi-related, has anyone on here ever worked as a personal carer? I am thinking of applying to the spinal association here in Brisbane for some holiday work, a large number of my friends and classmates work there as it is good experience for our field, but I would like any stories or opinions any of you have ^_^
