Now this might sound like a weird request, but i'm interested to know.

When you read HP fics do you prefer that when the author has one of the characters use a spell that it:

1. Be completly canon    i.e. Alohamora, Lumos
2. A spell made up by themselves but without a name    i.e. 'he cast a spell to make the plants grow faster'
3. Or if they are made up have a name with them   e.g. like a latin name related to the act the spell is performing

1 or 2...it always feels like people who put in their own latin names are trying too hard, or something. Personal pref, though :D

I prefer #1 but I don't mind #3 if it doesn't sound too bizarre.

Honestly I don't care either way, as long as it's not completely overdone. I hate it when every other word is a spell.

Again, 1 or 3. As long as the author uses the correct Latin translation, I have no objections.

yeh i liek 1 or 3 personally. as long as it actually souinds GOOD. not completely idiotic... like "growus... maximus" or sumthign stupid lol.

Some people obviosly do not know how to look up a latin dictionary, or something like it!!
